Container Corporation of India Limited is a Navratna Company owned by Indian Railways, Ministry of Railways, Government of India. The company is responsible for the construction of ports, air cargo complexes and cold-chains besides providing inland rail transit for containers. The company in a regulatory filing said that “The Board has declared an interim dividend of 40% for the financial year 2022-23, i.e. Rs 2.00 per equity share, having a face value of Rs 5/-, each amounting to Rs 121.86 crore The record date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend has been fixed as 18.08.2022. Interim dividend shall be paid/remitted to the shareholders on or after 23.08.2022. The dividend shall be paid within 30 days of its declaration.”
For Q1FY2, the company posted consolidated net income of Rs. 2062.50 crore as compared to 1,876.79 crore year-on-year growth of 9.90% over the same period last year, while the company posted a standalone net income 2,041.20 crore in Q1FY23 as compared to 1,863.06 crore in Q1FY22, an increase of 9.56% YoY. the total cost of the company reached 1,668.02 crore on a consolidated basis as compared to 1,536.02 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, an increase of 8.60% on a YoY basis while the total expenditure on a standalone basis reached 1,651.12 crore in Q1FY23 as compared to 1,518.25 crore in the same quarter last year, an increase of 8.75% year-on-year. On consolidated basis the company has reported Profit Before Tax (PBT) of 394.48 crores in Q1FY23 as compared to 340.77 cr in Q1FY22, a growth of 15.76% y-o-y and reaches PBT on a standalone basis 390.08 In Q1FY23 . Compared to 344.81 crore in Q1FY22, an increase of 13.12% YoY. On a standalone basis, the profit after tax (PAT) of the company has reached 291.31 crore in Q1FY23 as compared to 254.87 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year, a growth of 14.30% year-on-year and PAT on a consolidated basis reached 296.83 crore in Q1FY23 as compared to 258.44 crore over the corresponding quarter of last year, an increase of 14.85% YoY. Company’s EPS reached Compared to 4.87 in Q1FY23 4.24 in the same quarter last year.
