NEET PG 2021: Revised result declared, govt tells NBE after cut off cut

The Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday wrote to the National Board of Examinations (NBE) asking the examination body to declare the revised results. neet pg 2021 After the government decided to reduce the cut off to 15 percent in all categories.

“After due discussion and deliberation, it has been decided by MoHFW in consultation with NMC to reduce the cut-off to 15 per cent in all categories with prior approval from Hon’ble HFM,” the Directorate General wrote.

Thereafter, the qualifying percentage can be reduced to 35 per cent for general category, 30 per cent for PH (general) and 25 per cent for reserved category (SC/ST/OBC).

In view of this, it said: “You are requested to kindly declare the revised result and send the revised result data of newly qualified candidates to the office of the undersigned at the earliest.”

Earlier, the National Medical Commission had removed the upper age limit for those appearing in the NEET-Under Graduate 2022 exam.

The upper age limit set by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in 2017 was 25 years for unreserved candidates and 30 years for reserved candidates.

After being rescheduled twice in January and April, the NEET-PG exam was conducted on 11 September 2021. Its results were declared in the last week of September.
