Air hostess Oshin Ale Magar, who was killed in the plane crash, had promised to return home to Pokhara and celebrate the Maghe Sankranti festival with family, but her body will reach home after Sunday’s crash. Oshin was among the 72 people on board Yeti Aircraft plane ‘9N-ANC An-72’ that fell into a ravine of the Seti River on Sunday during landing at Nepal’s Pokhara airport. So far, out of 69 dead bodies on the verandah, one body is also that of Oshin.

At Oshin’s family’s house, Maghe was preparing to celebrate Sankranti when the news of the plane crash reaches him. Ashin’s father Mohan Ale Magar, a soldier who was discharged from the Indian Army, recalled how he had told him early in the morning not to go to work on the festival. Mohan told ‘Republica’ newspaper over the phone that he had talked about celebrating the return home after doing it completely.
According to the news, Oshin was working with Yeti Airline for the last two years. Oshin, originally from Chitwan, had been living in Kathmandu since she started her job and her parents had also stayed with her for the last six months. Oshin has two sisters and a brother. She was the eldest of four siblings. His brother is four years old.
