The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took out rallies in several cities of the country on Sunday.
Islamabad:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Imran Khan on Monday expressed his gratitude to the people of the country for supporting the protests against his expulsion as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
“Thank you to all Pakistanis for their wonderful support and sentiments, who got out on bail in protest against the US-backed regime change instigated by local Mir Jafars to bring to power Pakistanis at home and abroad. Strongly rejected. This,” tweeted Imran Khan.
“Never in our history have there been so many mobs so spontaneously and in such numbers that they have rejected an imported government led by miscreants,” he said in another tweet.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday took out rallies in several cities of the country to protest against party president Imran Khan through a no-confidence motion last night.
Earlier, Khan said that today marked the beginning of a “freedom struggle”, which he called a “foreign conspiracy to change regime”. In an effort to inspire his supporters, he said, “there are always people who defend their sovereignty and democracy.”
In another tweet, he said, “Pakistan became an independent state in 1947, but the freedom struggle has started again today against a foreign conspiracy to change power. It is always the people of the country who defend their sovereignty and democracy.” Huh.”
PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry, while speaking to the media in Islamabad earlier in the day, had called upon people to protest after the Isha prayers. He said that Khan not leading a major movement would be a “betrayal of the country’s politics and the Constitution”.
According to the Dawn newspaper, the party later released a schedule of various protests in cities across the country starting at 9:30 pm.
The publication said the protests in the capital began at Zero Point, with PTI supporters gathering and waving flags in favor of the former prime minister.
Voting on the no-confidence motion against the Imran Khan-led PTI government began late on Saturday night in the country’s National Assembly, where 174 members registered their vote in favor of the motion to oust Imran Khan from power.
