BMW Group prepares for the global debut of the new BMW X1 The SUV, and ahead of its scheduled premiere, a BMW dealer in France previewed the silhouette, revealing the contours of the crossover SUV. The new BMW X1, which will come out later this year, and launch early next year, will come with extensive updates to its exterior, interiors, features, as well as an updated powertrain. Additionally, the 2023 BMW X1 will join its electrified sibling BMW IX1 in its global portfolio. India is also expected to receive the new BMW X1 late next year, as it moves forward Volvo XC40, Mercedes-Benz GLAAnd Audi Q2 In the Indian premium compact SUV market.

The new BMW X1 will see several design changes to make it more attractive and modern. These will include strong character lines, which reflect its muscular stance from sleek LED headlamps and large kidney grille surrounded by DRLs. The 2023 BMW X1 will also get new alloy wheels, although it will get the same tires as before. Reports also suggest that the new BMW X1 will sport some design elements from its bigger brother BMW 2 Series Active tourer, to make it sharper and bolder than ever. Inside, the new BMW X1 is expected to be equipped with the latest generation of touchscreen infotainment system as well as some other convenience features to make it more attractive for the young buyer.

Apart from the electrified iX1, the HART will come with multiple powertrain options. There is likely to be a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol unit that will develop 304 bhp, close to the power figures of the BMW M2 in its range-topping avatar. Also, expect a plug-in hybrid version of the BMW X1, but details for the same will be revealed closer to its global debut. Currently, the BMW X1 price in India is Rs 41.50 Lakh (ex-showroom).
