WhatsApp It’s been adding a slew of new features lately to catch up with other instant messaging apps. According to WABetaInfoThe messaging app is working on a new group moderation feature. This feature will allow group admins to delete a message for each participant of the group.
WABetaInfo reports that ‘admin delete’ feature is now rolling out with WhatsApp beta Android 2.22.1.7 Update. This feature was first noticed by the publication last year. If you are on a beta tester receiving this feature and are a group admin, you can delete messages for anyone in the group.
How admin can delete message of anyone in group
All you have to do is long press the incoming message and tap on the option “Delete for all” to delete a message in the group. Other group participants will be able to see that you, as an administrator, have deleted the message for everyone.
Public rollout may take time
The report mentions that the feature is being rolled out very slowly, so it may take some time to roll out widely to every beta user. There is no word on when this feature will be available in the stable version.
WhatsApp recently added some new features to group conversations, including the option to mute others during a call and send messages to other participants. The instant messaging app also garnered responses and was asked to bring an avatar soon. Even more features are under development and testing in the beta phase which may be released in the coming weeks.
