The Honda HR-V for North America is different from what is sold in other global markets
Honda has finally taken the wraps off the new generation HR-V crossover SUV for the North American markets. Ready to go on sale again as a 2023 model, the new-gen HR-V will be launched in the US later in the second half of 2022. The model is based on the same platform as the 11th generation Honda Civic, and is larger than its predecessor, with a longer wheelbase and wider stance, however, in terms of styling, Honda has given it a sportier look. As of now, Honda has only revealed the exterior of the crossover SUV.

Now, the HR-V sold in North America will be different from the HR-V sold in markets like Japan, China and Europe. Earlier, in 2021 Honda revealed the second generation Vezel/third generation HR-V for markets outside North America. While the European-spec variant came with a hybrid variant, in China, the company offers a battery-electric model as well.

The new Honda HR-V looks sporty with clear character lines, slim LED headlamps and taillights and sporty alloys
Visually, the North American variant of the new Honda HR-V looks sporty with new LED daytime running lights with slim LED headlamps, smart looking grille and wider bumper with bigger airdam. A low horizontal beltline that starts at its extended hood and continues on the swell of the rear fenders gives its flowing forms a sense of motion. At the rear, it gets slim wraparound LED taillights with smoked effect and a neatly designed bumper along with a sculpted tailgate and a new spoiler.
