NFT craze dominated India as Salman Khan backed platform Dabang NFT. ready to launch

NFT craze in India: Bollywood superstars are unable to recover from the craze related to non-fungible tokens on NFTs in India as more and more of them are taking interest in releasing these digital collections in their name for fans. Across the country, a number of celebrities have announced or have launched their own NFT collections, ranging from artwork to movie posters to digital collectibles, as the craziest take on celebrities. Recently, Bollywood actor Salman Khan-backed NFT platform Bollycoin has announced the launch of NFT collections from the actor’s Dabangg franchise, the company said in a press release.

The platform is ready to launch NFT Collection on 30 December. Fans and investors can bid for a range of collectibles, including movie clips, posters and stills from the Dabangg universe, a series of movies in which the actors star.

“The platform announced its arrival in October with plans for a marketplace that would offer a selection of NFTs created from original Bollywood media. However, Bollycoin did not reveal the names of the films with which it will make NFTs. According to the website, NFT’s collection will include movie clips, posters and images among other things,” Bollycoin said in a press release.

Speaking about the upcoming launch, Kyle Lopes, Co-Founder of Bollycoin said, “We are excited and eager to see the audience response to Dabang NFT Collection. It was one of the most requested movies from our community, So we really hope to do it justice. The characters and the franchise are undeniably iconic, so it’s definitely an exciting way to start our project.”

BollyCoin also has its own cryptocurrency, which is now listed on decentralized exchanges, UniSwap and QuickSwap. The platform is currently associated with Salman Khan Films, Arbaaz Khan Productions, Sohail Khan Productions, Reel Life Productions and Salman Khan for stable NFTs.

This is not the first time that Salman Khan has announced the launch of his own NFT collection. The Dabangg actor did it earlier in the year. The actor unveiled Gaar – India’s first crypto token launched by micro-content, short video application Chingari. Making it official on social media platform Twitter, Khan said, “I am officially launching the spark in app GARI token reward program and its NFT marketplace. You can buy My Videos NFT, exclusively on the Gari NFT Marketplace. Congratulations on a new chapter in content creation and monetization!!! #ChingariKiGari #GariTokens.”

Short-video application Spark has forayed into the world of cryptocurrency with its crypto token GARI. An alternative blockchain token, GARI, will serve “both as an in-app currency and a governance token in the future,” the company said back at the time. The token was created in partnership with Solana Blockchain, a crypto major.
