Founder and CEO of Meta (formerly known as Facebook) Mark Zuckerberg Nick Clegg will take a new position at the global tech giant as president of global affairs, TODAY said.
In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg said that for the past three years, Nick has managed some of the most complex issues facing the company — including content policy, elections and setting up a board of oversight.
Clegg will lead META on all policy matters, including how it interacts with governments as they adopt new policies and regulations, and also how the company publicly identifies itself for its products and work. How to present
Zuckerberg said Clegg would report to him and to Sheryl Sandberg, COO at Meta.
“The work we do at META matters to a lot of people around the world. We are at the center of a lot of debate about technology and society. I want to better represent anyone and help shape the future. Can’t think of doing Internet policy than Nick,” said the Meta CEO.
