Senior Karnataka Congress leader G Parameshwara on Saturday said the party will face the state assembly elections next year under a collective leadership.
Parameshwara also rubbished speculations that he was upset at being sidelined in the party and plans to join the BJP.
Replying to a question on his aspirations to become the chief minister, the former deputy chief minister said the party high command would take a decision in this regard if the Congress came to power in the state.

News agency ANI quoted party sources as saying that a section of the state leadership wants the party not to declare a face for the chief ministerial candidate and go ahead with collective efforts in the upcoming elections.
