If you are facing poor internet connectivity or do not like to log in to online portals, it is still possible to check your employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) balance without data. Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) offers offline methods through SMS and missed call services.
Check PF balance with a missed call
Give a missed call from 99660444425 from your registered mobile number. The call will be automatically disconnected, and you will receive an SMS that will have your latest PF balance and contribution details.
Comment:
- Your UAN (Universal Account Number) should be active.
- Your mobile number should be connected to your UAN.
- At least one KYC details (Aadhaar, PAN, or bank account number) should be updated.
- This service is free of charge.
Get PF details via SMS
Send an SMS in the following format 7738299899: EPFOHO UAN
You will get an SMS with your PF balance, recent contribution and KYC status.
To get a message in a regional language, add the first three letters of the language code after your UAN. For example, to get details in Hindi, send: EPFOHO UAN HIN

How to activate UAN:
- Go to the EPFO member portal.
- Click ‘Activate UAN’
- Enter your UAN, name, date of birth, mobile number and captcha
- Submit OTP sent to your mobile
- Set a password and log in
How to update KYC details:
- Log in EPFO portal with your UAN and password
- ‘Management’> Go to ‘KYC’
- Add or update your base, PAN or bank account number
- Click ‘Save’
- Wait to convert your employer and approve changes
