The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Wednesday said that separate passes will not be required for movement during night and weekend curfew, if a person who is engaged in essential services or has already obtained an e-pass in January .
“It is clarified that an e-pass for movement involving ‘essential goods and services’ or under the ‘exempted category’ shall have an e-pass on or after January 4 for the entire period of imposition of night and weekend curfew. shall be valid, said the DDMA order.
Persons engaged in medical establishments, financial institutions, transport and food products come under essential and exempted categories. According to a government estimate, the number of e-passes issued to such citizens is more than one lakh.
