Havery:
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in an emotional address to the people of Shiggaon, his constituency in this district, said that nothing is permanent in this world including posts and posts, with some quarters raising speculation about his possible exit. .
“Nothing is eternal in this world. This life is not forever. We don’t know how long we will be here. In such a situation, even these positions and positions are not forever. I am aware of this fact every moment. Am.” They said.
Expressing his gratitude towards the people of his constituency, Mr Bommai said that he is only ‘Basavaraj’ for them and not the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister was addressing the people after inaugurating the statue of Kittur Rani Chennamma, a 19th century queen of Kittur in Belagavi district, who fought against the British.
“I have always been saying that outside this place (Shiggaon) I was the Home Minister and Irrigation Minister earlier, but once I was inside, I remained just ‘Basavaraj’ for all of you.
Today as a Chief Minister I am saying that once I come to Shiggaon, I may be the Chief Minister from outside, but I will remain the same Basavaraj Bommai among you because Basavaraj name is permanent, not post”, he said.
There are rumors in some quarters that Bommai is likely to replace him.
The chief minister is reportedly suffering from a knee-related problem, and may be treated abroad, but there was no official word on it.
The twice emotional Chief Minister recalled how lovingly he was fed ‘roti’ (sorghum bread) and ‘navane’ (foxtail millet) rice whenever he came to his constituency as Basavaraj.
“I don’t have great things to say. If I could live up to your expectations, that’s enough for me. I believe there is no greater power than your love and trust.
I try my best not to talk to you in an emotional way, but seeing you all makes me feel overwhelmed,” Mr Bommai said, choking.
Given that there was a huge responsibility on his shoulders to plan the comprehensive development of the state and respond to the demands and requests of each community.
The Chief Minister said, “He always kept his conscience awake in every moment and in everything he did.”
Mr Bommai took over as chief minister on July 28, when BS Yediyurappa resigned on the day he completed two years.
