No problem in distribution of ration: Anil

Food and Civil Supplies Minister GR Anil said on Thursday that the action of dealers closing ration shops at the behest of some people, despite fixing the server fault, cannot be accepted.

Inaugurating the district level online sale and home delivery of Supplyco’s goods here on Thursday, he said the licensees should understand that the onus is on them to help the people. It is estimated that on Tuesday, about 1.90 lakh families bought ration from four thousand ration shops.

Now there was no problem in distribution of ration. However, arrangements were made to completely resolve some server problems in seven districts at morning and seven in the evening. It was only for five days, Mr. Anil said.

The government is trying to provide quality products to the people, the minister said, adding that Supplyco will soon upgrade its showrooms. The online facility will be available across the state by March.

A joint inspection of FCI officials and civil supplies officers will be conducted to ensure the quality of the goods, Mr. Anil said.
