No screen for Dhaakad? Kangana Ranaut’s film closed in all theaters in Mumbai within a week: Report

strong, starring Kangana Ranaut And Arjun Rampal was screened at the exit doors in Mumbai cinemas within a week of its release, a new report has claimed. The action film saw a disastrous opening and mixed reviews. The film clashed with Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

On ticket booking app BookMyShow, Dhaakad appears with ‘No Watch Option’. This means there are no shows available for moviegoers to book. The film is also limited to a handful of shows in New Delhi. Dhaakad was reportedly released on a large scale, with the film garnering around 2100 screens.

Addressing this, a source said Bollywood Hungama, “Dhaakad released on May 20 with around 2100 screens. As of Sunday, May 22, about 300 screens (film) have been closed (movie), especially single screens. The number of screens was further reduced from Monday. As of Thursday, it was as out of theaters as Tom Cruise-starrer Top Gun: Maverick, which released on May 26. ,

“In week 2, Dhaakad is running in only 25 cinemas in India. In other words, it has been removed from about 98.80% of theaters that were playing the film in the first week. Delhi being the largest city is still playing Dhaakad in four theatres. In Mumbai, it is not running in even a single cinema hall,” said the source. Kangana and Dhaakad’s team are yet to pay attention to these developments.

While Karthik’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is going strong since its release. The film has collected Rs 92.05 crore in the first week and is all set to join the 100 crore club this weekend. Meanwhile, two new films have also knocked in theaters this weekend. Ayushmann Khurrana returns to the theaters with his new film Anek, while Tom Cruise brings back the magic of Top Gun after 36 years with Top Gun: Maverick.

Both the films have received positive reviews and trade analysts are expecting a good opening for the films.
