Harshal Patel Has gone from strength to strength over the years. With consistent performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the 31-year-old has become a frequent feature in the Indian T20I squad. Along with the 2022 T20 World Cup and Jasprit Bumrah Out with an injury, all eyes will be on Harshal. He is known as a bowler who can consistently bowl the slow ball to dodge the batsmen. In an interview with ESPNcricinfoHarshal reveals different aspects of bowling the slower ball and how he will use it differently Virat Kohli,
“For Virat, of course, because he’s not someone who’s going to offer you. These slow deliveries are more effective when people are trying to muscle you up. For someone like Virat, whenever I’ve played against him, so he walks out and makes it a full toss and plays it through midwicket,” said Harshal.
“If he gets a good bat on the ball, he’s going to get a boundary between long-on and midwicket or he’s going to get a double. And when someone plays that delivery like that, you have to adapt. But When someone is going deep into the crease and trying to slog you at long-on or deep midwicket or under the ground, that’s where the slower ball becomes more effective.”
