Nothing, the new smartphone brand from OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has finally given us the first look at its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone (1). However, soon after the design of the Nothing was revealed, the iPhone 12 started trending on Twitter, with people comparing the design of the Nothing phone (1) with the iPhone 12.

Several users on Twitter have pointed out that the Nothing Phone (1) looks like a transparent version of the iPhone 12, and are calling for the startup to simply “remove the back panel of the iPhone 12”. Some users also shared pictures of the iPhone 12’s internals with the Nothing back panel and said that things are very similar.
Now, while there are similarities, it is not necessary that the brand imitated iphone 12of design. For instance, this is just a picture of the smartphone that we have seen, and other elements of the smartphone are yet to be revealed by the company. In addition, there are new videos on the Internet that illuminate parts of the Nothing Phone (1), something we haven’t seen on any smartphone yet.
The Nothing Phone (1) will be launched on July 12 during a virtual event, which will be livestreamed on the company’s YouTube channel. The Nothing Phone (1) is expected to come with a 6.43-inch display with 9Hz refresh rate. Rumors suggest that it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Nothing Phone (1) will come with a dual camera setup, as can be seen in the pictures online.
