Now, Vande Bharat Express bumps into cow in Anand. Ahmedabad News – Times of India

Ahmedabad/Vadodara/Anand: A day after a herd of buffaloes was ploughed, the Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Express rammed a cow near Anand station on Friday.
Incidentally, the accident took place on a day when Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was also in Anand district to interact with students of a private engineering college in the education city of Vallabh Vidyanagar.
During an interaction with the students, Vaishnav said that the collision of cattle on the tracks is inevitable. “The train has been designed keeping all these aspects in mind,” he said.
According to railway officials, the accident took place in the Kanjari-Boriyavi-Anand section under Vadodara Railway Division.
A cow collided with a train on the Kanjari-Boriavi-Anand railway section. Pradeep Sharma, Public Relations Officer, Vadodara Railway Division said, it was a small incident and no major damage has been done.
However, the train was delayed by 10 minutes after the incident. The train proceeded after stopping for 10 minutes. No passenger was injured in the incident.
Significantly, between Vatva and Maninagar stations of Ahmedabad, the train collided with a herd of buffaloes on Thursday. The fiber-reinforced plastic of the nose was damaged as the engine did not have a cattle guard.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the Vande Bharat Express from Gandhinagar on 30 September.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Friday that the Vande Bharat Express train has been designed keeping in mind all aspects including accidents.
Referring to Thursday’s accident, Vaishnav said the train was designed in such a way and it is so strong that if an accident happens, nothing will happen to the train.
“Its nose at the front is completely replaceable. As soon as the train reached Mumbai (after the incident on Thursday), it was completely sanitized and its nose replaced,” Vaishnav said.
