NRAI invites applications for the post of Trainers and High Performance Manager

National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) has invited applications for the posts of High Performance Manager for foreign and Indian coaches as well as senior and junior shooters of the country in all disciplines.

The contract period will be from the date of appointment till the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Posts of coaching staff have been left vacant after NRAI decided to terminate the contracts of all coaches last year.

The move was reviewed by the national federation in the wake of the Indian shooting team’s disastrous performance at the Tokyo Olympics, where they failed to win a single medal in 2016 after five years of returning empty-handed from the Rio Games.

NRAI in its advertisement said, “The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) invites applications from highly qualified and experienced foreign coaches to train the Indian Shooting Team/National Team to excel in all major international competitions including the Olympic Games 2024.” Is.”

The federation is also looking for High Performance Managers for shooters in the rifle, pistol and shotgun disciplines.

“National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) invites applications for the appointment of a qualified and experienced High Performance Manager (HPM) for its national squad of shooters in the discipline of Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun.”

The HPM will, primarily, be responsible for overseeing the training and development program of shooters to “perform excellence in the sport” in various international competitions.

All appointments are subject to approval by Sports Authority of India (SAI).

In addition, NRAI has invited Expression of Interest (EOI) from Indian Nationals for appointment of coaches for Senior and Junior Shooters on contract basis to “National Squad / Indian Shooting Team and Panel of Coaches for Promotion of Shooting Sport” also invited. Training of shooters at the state and district level”.

As far as key requirements for coaches and HPM are concerned, applicants must be below 65 years of age and must have played in Olympics/ Continental Games/ Commonwealth Games/ World Championships or other continental championships in addition to previous coaching experience Was.
