Nusrat Jahan, Yash Dasgupta starrer ‘SOS Kolkata’ to release on October 1

Actress and Trinamool Congress MP Nusrat Jahan and actor Yash Dasgupta’s upcoming Bengali film “SOS Kolkata” is all set to release on October 1. Nusrat is dating Yash with her husband Nikhil Jain after the much-publicised estrangement.

She said: “‘SOS Kolkata’ has been a great experience working for me. I have played a very different role which is not a girl’s role. Audience would love to see me heavy duty action sequences. My character story And she is rough, smart, gritty and very confident. So, it was fun playing this role”.

Directed by Anshuman Pratyush and produced by Jarek Entertainment, the film, which also stars Mimi Chakraborty, Anna Saha, Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Shantilal Mukherjee, will release on ZEE5.

‘SOS Kolkata’ tells an intriguing story of a series of planned terrorist attacks in Kolkata, culminating in a hostage drama in the premises of a five-star hotel. The performances and high-octane drama in the film will surely win over the audience while providing a nail-biting experience.

Earlier this month, Nushrat made headlines after revealing the identity of the father in her son’s birth certificate.

Father’s name is given as Debashish Dasgupta in the online birth certificate. Though there was no mention of Yash in the birth certificate, Debashish, who contested and lost on a BJP ticket from Chanditala in Hooghly district in the recent West Bengal assembly elections, is the official name of Yash Dasgupta.
