The hippopotamus was trying to come out of its enclosure.
The hippopotamus is one of the largest animals on the planet, and is known to be aggressive. While it has a calm demeanor, the animal can scare people with its fast movements. A video circulating on social media shows a security guard risking his life to push the hippo back into its enclosure and save visitors. The video was first posted in March this year, and has resurfaced. This time, it was posted on Twitter by a handle called B&S with the caption, “Security guard risks his life to save incredibly vulnerable zoo visitors from a hippo.”
Since being shared two days ago, the clip has been viewed 4.5 million times. While the date has not been mentioned, the video was reportedly shot at the zoo in Delhi.

It shows a hippo attempting to break out of its enclosure as visitors watch in amazement. A security guard immediately arrives at the scene and slaps the hippo, signaling it to return to its enclosure. But the animal keeps opening its wide mouth again and again.
The guard puts his hand up in an attempt to threaten the hippo but the animal tries to assert its dominance. But the guard keeps pushing the huge animal, gently patting it on the head.
The hippo eventually gets down the fence and goes back into the enclosure.
The 39-second video received several comments from Twitter users who said that it is wrong to kill an animal.
One user tweeted, “Killing an animal is wrong. No animal should ever be killed. Animals should not be held captive. Animals should be in sanctuaries for animal safety, not human pleasure.”
“It’s a hippo, I’d be surprised if it even felt it, and it’s clearly not afraid of him,” said another.
