Omicron spread: According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday, the total number of Omicron cases in Delhi has risen to 54. Till now, the officials have shared the details of 45 cases, but the details of the remaining nine cases are awaited.
LNJP Hospital has reported 34 cases of the latest version of the coronavirus, out of which 17 patients have been discharged, news agency PTI quoted sources as saying.
The biggest facility operated by the Delhi government was 24 on Monday. According to the report, ten cases have been reported so far in Max Hospital-Saket. A case has come to light in Fortis Hospital.
The city recorded 102 Covid cases today, the highest since June 27.
The Union Health Ministry on Tuesday said that so far 200 cases of the Omicron variant have been detected in 12 states and union territories in India, out of which 77 patients have been cured or migrated.
Maharashtra and Delhi have reported 54 cases each in the Omron variant.
The first case of the Omicron variant in Delhi – a 37-year-old man from Ranchi – was detected on December 5. He has been discharged.
