New Delhi: Russia has assured India to delay the 4th S-400 Trimp Air Defense System in 2026 and the remaining one in 2027, ThePrint has learned.
Sources in the defense and security establishment said that the S -400 delivery came into the discussion between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and his Russian counterpart Andrei Belsov in Kingdao, China.
The meeting was held during the meeting of the Defense Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Sources said that the Russian side said that delivery was delayed due to the ongoing struggle with Ukraine. The Russians have said that the 4th S -400 battery will be distributed in 2026 and the last remaining in 2027.
India currently operates three S -400 systems, one of which saw intensive action during Operation Sindoor.
Interestingly, the entire drone of Pakistan was to detect air defense places including S-400 throughout the drone fore. Sources said that Pakistan set fire to at least three Chinese-made anti-made radiation missiles, but they were unsuccessful in contrast to Pakistan’s claims.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially called out Pakistan’s bluff Talk to the personnel there by traveling to Adampur Air Base and with S400 in the background.
The S-400 is designed to knock the flying goals, which are equipped with secret technologies at a distance of about 400 km. Compared to its predecessor S-300, S-400 has a firing rate that is 2.5 times faster.
Each S-400 battery includes long-range radars, a command post vehicle, target acquisition radar and two battalions of launchers-each battalion has eight launchers. Each launcher has four tubes.
The S-400 can be equipped with four different types of missiles with 400 km, 250 km, 120 km and 40 km boundaries. The long range (LR) radar can track more than 100 flying objects simultaneously while being able to attach a dozen targets.
