On World Sleep Day, Nagaland minister’s funny tweet leaves the internet divided

Temjen ImnaAlong’s post has been liked by thousands of users.

Noted Nagaland politician Temjen Imna Along, who is known for his amazing sense of humor and amusing social media comments, is once again going viral for a picture he posted on the occasion of World Sleep Day.

In the picture, Mr. Along is sitting in a room where several people are sleeping on chairs. The image is clearly intended to draw attention to long seminars and discussions during which the attendees were unable to pay sustained attention to the subject and fell asleep in their seats.

Along with the picture, he wished his followers “Happy World Sleep Day!” And wrote, “Let us applaud those with little eyes who remind us that being awake 24/7 isn’t always an option!”.

The interesting image and caption fetched a lot of likes and comments on the tweet.

One user commented, ‘Many wishes to you too on World Sleep Day, Netaji.’

Appreciating the minister’s humility and sense of humour, another user wrote: “Sir, you are sport. It really takes all the humility in the world to laugh at yourself. Bless us with more leaders like you.”

A third user posted, “Also the advantage of these eyes is that you can take a short nap while pretending to be a listener.” Taking inspiration from the post of minister.

Mr Along regularly updates his fans and followers about his personal life, his advice and the grandeur of his kingdom.

A few days ago, he did back-to-back tweets in a day, sharing pictures of his home state. Those two pictures also grabbed a lot of attention and smiles on the internet because of their beautiful visuals and interesting captions.

The first picture was of him posing for the camera. In its caption, the minister wrote, “Too multi lens to focus, magar mera timing to dekho!” (There are a lot of lenses to focus on, but look at my timing.)

The second was a breathtaking picture of a panoramic view of the state capital Kohima.

The capital city looks incredibly attractive because of thousands of lights shining in the pitch black night in the picture.

Mr Along shared the picture with a caption that read, “The beauty of Kohima.”
