One killed in Russian missile attack on Ukrainian city of Krematoresk: Governor – Times of India

KYIV: At least one person killed in Russian missile strike in eastern Ukraine city center kramatorsk On Tuesday, the regional governor said.
Donetsk region governor Pavlo Kirilenko said the attack caused a massive explosion and a residential building caught fire.
“The Russians attacked the central part of the city … at least one dead Citizen is currently known about,” he wrote on the Telegram messaging app.
Rescuers were present on the spot. Flames are seen rising from a residential building in a photo posted online by Kramatorsk Mayor Oleksandr Honcharenko and the city council.
Russiawho attacked Ukraine On 24 February, did not immediately comment on the situation in Kramatorsk. It has denied intentionally targeting civilians.
After failing to capture the capital Kyiv at the start of the invasion, Russia has shifted to a campaign of destructive bombing to cement and expand its control to the south and east of Ukraine.
Ukrainian officials have said they expect Kramatorsk, a city of more than 150,000 people before Russia’s invasion, to become one of the main centers of Russia’s offensive in eastern Ukraine.
Ukraine says Russian forces have intensified long-range attacks on targets far from the front, killing a large number of civilians. Moscow says it is targeting military bases.
