OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7T series starts receiving OxygenOS 11.0.5.1 update – Times of India

New Delhi: oneplus has started rolling out an OxygenOS update for oneplus 7 and the OnePlus 7T smartphone. The latest OS update fixes various bugs and also brings along the security patch for the month of December 2021.
OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus revealed in various posts on the OnePlus Community Forum OnePlus 7T Pro Receiving OxygenOS 11.0.0.5.1 update. The company has started rolling out the update for all the OnePlus 7 series smartphones in Europe and global markets. The post also mentioned that the same update is currently being rolled out only for the OnePlus 7T series in India.
The latest OxygenOS update brings a solution for the problem where users were unable to send and receive media on WhatsApp. Along with this, the new update also promises to bring better stability to the four smartphones. OnePlus 7 series smartphone users will also get the December 2021 Android security patch.
The company advises users to back up their data before downloading the update. This is an OTA update but you can also check it manually by going to Settings > System > System Update.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau revealed that the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro, will be launched on January 5. Lau made this announcement through his official Weibo account.
In a new post on Weibo, Pete Lau has revealed that the OnePlus 10 Pro will feature an LTPO 2.0 display. For those who don’t know, LTPO stands for Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide and is a special type of OLED panel. This technology allows the display a flexible refresh range of up to 120Hz. It consumes less power as compared to LTPS OLED display.
