OnePlus Pad will be available in India soon

OnePlus unveiled its first tablet at its Cloud 11 event earlier this month and availability details are pouring in.

The OnePlus Pad tablet was unveiled alongside the OnePlus 11 smartphone at the Cloud 11 event earlier this month. But we could not find information about its availability and expected price range. Now, we can confirm that the OnePlus Pad tablet will go on sale in April, with pre-orders starting around the same time.

The OnePlus Pad could be available through Flipkart in the country, which would be interesting as the company has roped in Amazon as its exclusive partner for the products in the country. OnePlus is building an ecosystem, and a tablet is key to achieving that goal.

OnePlus has shared all the details and hardware specs of the OnePlus Pad tablet, but one thing we still don’t know is the price of its first tablet. Rumors suggest that OnePlus may introduce it as a premium product which may keep it in the range of Rs 40,000.

OnePlus is offering 11.6-inch 2K display with 144Hz refresh rate screen. OnePlus is introducing the popular OxygenOS 13 version for the Slate which is likely to have some tablet-centric features. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC along with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The full-metal finishing of the tablet definitely grabs your attention and you have a circular camera module at the back. OnePlus is packing the tablet with a 9,510mAh battery that charges at 67W speed. It has quad speakers powered by Dolby Atmos and for imaging you have a 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera.

Android tablets have become powerful over the years but where they lack is the software aspect. Android hasn’t fully optimized itself for large-screen devices yet, but we hope OnePlus can solve the puzzle and give us a capable product that can perhaps challenge the iPads? We’ll know more about this in the coming months.
