OnePlus Watch 3 goes viral to embarrass typo on back panel: “Meda in China”

A few days after OnePlus launched its much awaited OnePlus Watch 3, the flagship device has gone viral, not for the right reasons. Eagle-Idee social media users saw a luxurious typo on the back panel of the flagship device, which was postponed as the successor of OnePlus Watch 2 launched in February last year. Many efficients including the American YouTuber, Marques Brownlee, known as Mkbhd claimed that instead of reading “Made in China”, the panel read: “Meda in China”.

“Confirmation: OnePlus Watch 3 has a typo in China: Meda has a typo,” Mr. Brownli wrote in a post on X (East Twitter), while adding two photos of a clock back panel with angrawing.

Social media reacts

As soon as the news went viral, a part of social media users claimed that it was a marketing stunt by the company, while the other said that the quality control team in OnePlus had messed up.

A user said, “Shameful. The quality control team of OnePlus is about to be expelled,” one user said, while another said: “And this is how you make a collector’s items. “

One third remarked: “I think it’s not a typo. It is a peback from the seller for the following reasons. Do not pay at 2. Squeeze margin 3 3. When giving them strength in QA/QC.”

OnePlus Watch 3 Price and Specifications

OnePlus Watch 3 is priced at Rs 29,000 ($ 329) in the US. The company is almost Rs. 2,600 ($ 30) while buyers can get an additional Rs 4,300 ($ 50) while trading in their old smartwatch. This is currently for pre-order while delivery is expected to start from February 25.
