Since political parties are being rebuilt again in response to the changed circumstances, a re -reunion of politics is going on about a year after the general election in 2024. Non-conversion Janata Party (BJP) parties, which have gathered as a strong national opposition under India’s banner, is no longer a common goal. In fact, the assembly elections in Bihar at the end of 2025, and in Assam, in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, will spread these parties more in the beginning of 2026, and possibly pave the way to rebuild these states and beyond politics. Some indicators are clear. Communist Party of India (Marxist) Leader Prakash Karat recently said that India was only for the Lok Sabha elections And was specific to special states. Left and Congress will face in Kerala which is one of his most combative competitions. In West Bengal, Left and All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) cannot form an alliance, while the Congress will weigh its options between the two. In Tamil Nadu, both leftist and Congress may be in the tent of Dravida Munnetra Kazgam, but it is not yet certain. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress, which revived their old rivals amidst recent bitterness during the recent Delhi assembly elections, are ready to continue their clashes in Punjab, Gujarat and Goa.
The marginal gains of these parties had the overall impact of the defeat of the BJP in the general election, but it was more than a new trend as the events have shown in the next months. Unsecured contradictions in calculating individual non-BJP parties soon made India unhappy, although the parties somewhat coordinate their parliamentary strategy. These parties are united in demanding more transparency in the electoral process and the accountability of the Election Commission of India. Meanwhile, the BJP has worked with supernaturalism to shore its Aadhaar and win the assembly elections in Haryana, Maharashtra and Delhi. BJP and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazgam are also showing a melting signs in their relationship after being routed in the general election that they fought separately in Tamil Nadu. Emerging negotiations around the questions of education and language policy and delimitation are creating a fresh political brainstorm. Regional parties are facing crisis in some parts of the country, and eclipse of some of them is increasingly possible. But there is a possibility of much churning before political alliances.
