The PM stressed that in order to serve the society, it is also necessary that we accept and adopt the spirit of social justice. “Social justice means that every section of the society should get equal opportunities, and no one should be deprived of the basic necessities of life. When Dalits, Backward, Tribals, Women, Divyangs come forward, only then the country will progress.
PM Modi further said that the thoughts of Lohia ji were carried forward by Harmohan Singh Yadav ji from the soil of Uttar Pradesh and Kanpur in his long political career.

Harmohan Singh Yadav (October 18, 1921 – July 25, 2012) was a great man and leader of the Yadav community. He remained active in politics for a long time and served in various capacities as MLC, MLA, Rajya Sabha member and President of ‘All India Yadav Mahasabha’.
