Oscar-winning film actresses arrested in Iran for supporting hijab protests

Alidosti’s most vivid social media post was on December 8, the same day Mohsen Shekhri, 23, was executed by authorities over protests. “Your silence means support for tyranny and tyranny,” Alidusti wrote in the picture he shared on Insta. “Every international organization that is watching this bloodshed and not taking action,” Alidusti wrote alongside his post. Shortly after the execution, Iran publicly executed Sheikh Performance Majidreza Runward, 23, on 12 December. Nine others caught in the hold have been sentenced to death. Thousands of people have been detained since protests broke out and 400 have received prison sentences of up to 10 years for their involvement in the flagging, Iran’s Supreme Justicica said on Tuesday.
