OSSC Recruitment 2023: Candidates can apply for the Vital Statistics Assistant posts through the official website at ossc.gov.in
The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has released the official notification for the Vital Statistics Assistant posts. As per the notice, the online application process will begin on Friday, November 24 and the registration process will conclude on Thursday, December 21. Candidates can apply for the Vital Statistics Assistant posts through the official website of OSSC at ossc.gov.in.
Once the registration process ends, candidates will be able to edit their application forms from November 24 to December 27. Through this recruitment drive, the OSSC plans to fill a total of 234 Vital Statistics Assistant vacancies under the Directorate of Health Intelligence and Vital Statistics Odisha. The commission has informed the candidates that no physical copy or hard copy of the online application form should be submitted.
OSSC Recruitment 2023: Category-Wise Vacancies
– Unreserved (UR): 116 (out of which women hold 40 posts)
– Scheduled Tribes (ST): 51 (out of which women hold 17 posts)
– Scheduled Castes (SC): 39 (out of which women hold 13 posts)
– Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC): 28 (out of which women hold 9 posts).
OSSC Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Those applying for the Vital Statistics Assistant posts must have passed their Graduation with Mathematics or Statistics from a recognised university in India. Candidates should also have knowledge of computer applications.
Age Limit: The minimum age limit of the candidates should be 21 years while the maximum age requirement is 38 years, as on January 1, 2023.

Step 1: Go to the official website of OSSC at ossc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the ‘Apply online’ link.
Step 3: As a new window opens, click on the apply link for Vital Statistics Assistant posts.
Step 4: Then, register yourself online and log in to the account.
Step 5: Fill out the application form as directed.
Step 6: To complete the process, make the necessary payment of application fees.
Step 7: Once done, cross-check all the details and click on submit.
OSSC Recruitment 2023: Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of a preliminary exam, a main written exam, a computer skill test, and document verification. The dates for the preliminary and main exams will be notified in the first quarter of 2024.
