India is really spoiled for choice in terms of what kind of car buyers would like to buy in 2022. We have world class products for almost all body styles, both indigenous and international brands and the EV wave has just begun. However, a distinguishing feature of the Indian market is its price sensitivity. We like to buy cars that are spacious and packed with features, but don’t bleed through our wallets during our ownership and maintenance periods.
A recent study conducted by Crisil Research states that by 2026, the price gap between ICE cars and EVs will close. In fact, customers will have to pay a lot for either format. Kia India Recently Launched 2022 . Offering multiple maintenance and safety packages to the customers of kia carens MPV to make it more pocket friendly in typical ownership of 4 to 5 years. These packages are on offer under Kia’s My Convenience Plus plan and offer the following benefits:
1. Option to choose between Premium or Luxury package
The premium pre-paid maintenance package offers 4 years or 40,000kms coverage which includes scheduled service cost, cost of labour, engine oil and other Kia genuine parts that may be required during service. The price of this package is Rs 31,108 or Rs 35,552 for the petrol and diesel variants respectively.
The Luxury package offers 5 years or 50,000kms coverage which includes scheduled service cost, cost of labour, engine oil and other Kia genuine parts that may be required during service. The price of this package is Rs 44,440 or Rs 49,995 for the petrol and diesel variants respectively.
2. Protection from Price Inflation:
The My Convenience Plus plan also protects the customers against inflation in service cost during the period of their ownership. This is applicable across India, customers can avail the service at any Kia centre.

3. Care Shield and Care Shield+ :
Under the Care Shield program, Kia claims to bring an industry-first, no questions asked accidental repair option. In addition to this, expenses up to Rs 1 lakh incurred in defense of legal claims in case of accident are also being reimbursed under Care Shield+. This reimbursement applies to a maximum of two incidents.
4. Protection of Engines from Wrong Refueling:
Carens customers opting for one of the My Convenience Plus packages will also be protected against the cost in case of accidental mis-fuelling of the vehicle.
5. Complimentary Services:
Customers will also get complimentary wheel alignment, balancing and tire rotation once every year.

With these provisions, Kia has managed to bring down the maintenance cost of the 2022 Karens MPV by 37 paise per km. The Kia Carens price starts at Rs. 9.59 Lakh (ex-showroom) which goes up to Rs. 17.70 Lakh. It competes against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6 in the under Rs 20 lakh MPV category. Carence buyers can avail 10 per cent cash back on online bookings and on-road financing options starting at 7.10 per cent.
