Islamabad: Pakistan is yet to decide on the call of the Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval to hold NSA conference to discuss the Asian region situation in afghanistan A local media reported on Saturday, November 10 and 11 in New Delhi.
India has formally invited the NSAs of Russia, Iran, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan for the conference.
Pak NSA Moeed Yusuf has been invited to attend the proposed conference, The Nation reported, citing sources in the Foreign Office.
“We have not yet taken any decision on the Indian invitation, however, whether to attend the conference or otherwise will be decided soon”, The Nation quoted the foreign minister as saying. Shah Mehmood Qureshi as saying.
The paper, however, citing sources in Islamabad, said the leadership of the combination of civilian and military is expected to take a decision on the conference by next week.
recently completed Moscow format meet on Afghanistan India participated. However, the representatives of both the countries did not hold any other meeting.
Also, India will not participate in the Foreign Ministers’ Conference on Afghanistan hosted by Iran on 27 October.
