IslamabadThe Islamabad administration has sealed two cafeterias of the Parliament building in Pakistan’s capital after cockroaches were found in the food. According to the Sama TV report, several MPs had already stopped eating in these cafeterias due to substandard food.
Following the latest incident where MPs found cockroaches in their food, they lodged a complaint with the district administration of Islamabad. When administration officials raided there, they saw pests in cafeterias and kitchens apart from poor hygiene practices.

After this they sealed two cafeterias. According to the report of Sama TV, this is not the first such incident.
In 2014, a cockroach was found inside a ketchup bottle in a cafeteria in the house.
The lawmakers had also raised questions on the quality of meat used in food in 2019. This level of cleanliness is not limited to the Parliament House only. In the past, rat infestations were also reported in Parliament lodges.
