After the leak, panic spread among residents, who started showing signs of breathlessness and burning eyes. According to officials, the valve of the ammonia cylinder got damaged following which the incident took place.
“The situation is absolutely under control. That gas cylinder has run out. There are fire engines, they are sprinkling water. Some people complained of minor problems and were taken to hospitals for first aid. No one has died. The entire state machinery is on the spot,” said DC Jajhar, Shakti Singh
