New Delhi: Parameswaran Iyer has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. NITI Aayog, according to a government notification. He was a former drinking water and sanitation secretary. He had resigned from his post in July last year.
The government notification said that his tenure will start on the completion of the tenure of current CEO Amitabh Kant on June 30.
“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Shri Parameswaran Iyer, LAS (UP:81), retired Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amitabh Kant, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, for his term on completion of his tenure on 30.06.2022. year or until further orders, whichever is earlier, on the same terms and conditions as were applicable in respect of Shri Amitabh Kant,” the notification said.
Iyer took voluntary retirement from the Indian Administrative Service in 2009. He had also worked as a senior rural water sanitation specialist at the United Nations.
