Painting and drawing competitions are being organized in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on January 23, the Parakram Divas. More than 50,000 students are expected to participate in the competition. The theme of the painting competition is to be ‘Pariksha Yoddha’ based on the book written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The painting competition is expected to see diverse participation from students of various CBSE Schools, State Boards, Navodaya Vidyalayas and students of Kendriya Vidyalayas in this unique creative expression of ideas,” the notice reads. The five best entries from the nationwide competition will be awarded a certificate along with a set of books on freedom fighters and topics of national importance.
According to the press release, the nodal Kendriya Vidyalaya, where the program is to be held, will have 100 candidates from different schools participating in this competition. Around 70 students have been called from the nearest State Board and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) schools in the district, 10 students from Navodaya Vidyalaya and 20 students from the nodal KV as well as nearby KVs, if any Will be done. Meanwhile, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023 will be held on January 27 with the participation of over 12,000 students. The sixth edition of the event will take place at the Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. The much-awaited event will be telecast live by Doordarshan (DD) through DD National, DD News and DD India.
