Lok Sabha adjourned till 2 pm amid uproar
Speaker Om Birla adjourned the lower house after opposition members raised slogans and protested as they stuck to their demand for a discussion and probe on the Adani issue.
Earlier in the day, a united opposition decided to corner the government on the Adani issue in Parliament. Sources told news agency ANI that the leaders of 16 parties decided to bring an adjournment motion in both the Houses and insist on a discussion on the Adani issue. Leaders of Congress, DMK, NCP, BRS, JD(U), SP, CPM, CPI, Kerala Congress (Jose Mani), JMM, RLD, RSP, AAP, IUML, RJD and Shiv Sena at the residence of Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge Chamber meeting on Monday morning.
