Parul Gulati made a bold fashion statement at the Cannes red carpet as she turned heads in a strapless gown made entirely out of hair.
Conceptualised by Parul, the dress was designed by Mohit Rai and Riddhi Bansal for IRTH 2.
Actor and entrepreneur Parul Gulati made her debut on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival 2025. Parul attended the premiere of Eddington at the prestigious film festival. For her debut at the French Riviera, the actor opted for a dramatic look. She chose a black strapless gown that was adorned with hair, and the ensemble was conceptualised entirely by her.
For her Cannes Film Festival debut, Parul Gulati opted for a strapless black dress. The dress came with a plunging neckline and a body-hugging silhouette. Made entirely out of braided hair, the dress was a statement in itself. With a fitted bodice, the dress graduated into an asymmetrical hemline with braided hair of varying length running down the length of the dress. The dress was conceptualised by her and was designed by celebrated stylist and designer Mohit Rai and Riddhi Bansal for IRTH 2. The outfit was the result of over a month of dedicated work, brought to life by a team of 12 expert artisans who poured countless hours into intricate, detail-oriented craftsmanship.

“It’s a reminder of why we tell stories, why we watch them, and why cinema matters. I wanted my red carpet look to reflect that same spirit of individuality and risk-taking. Wearing an outfit made entirely out of human hair wasn’t just about pushing fashion boundaries – it was a homage to my journey, to every woman who’s ever embraced her uniqueness, and to the idea that our roots, quite literally, can be our biggest strength. To represent both my creative and entrepreneurial side at a platform as iconic as Cannes is a moment I’ll never forget,” said Parul as quoted by IANS.
Parul paired the dress with a pair of open-toe heels, sparkly earrings, and a gold ring. For the glam, she went with her signature minimal makeup look to let her outfit do all the talking.
