Pavitra Rishta 2.0: Ankita Lokhande shares a glimpse of the first scene she shot with Shaheer Sheikh
Reminiscing the first day of shooting with actress Shaheer Sheikh Ankita Lokhande shared a BTS video on her Instagram account and wrote, “This was our first scene together. I think we did quite well. What does Shaheer say? Thank you Nandita ma’am @shaheernsheikh @mehranandita.”

While Ankita Lokhande reprized her role of Archana, Shaheer Sheikh stepped in in place of Manav and carried on the legacy of the popular character, which was originally portrayed by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Though the audience remembered Sushant in the new season, fans also welcomed Shaheer with open arms and appreciated the chemistry between Ankita and Shaheer.
Celebrating twelve years of her show Pavitra Rishta, Ankita shared a video of her look from the show and wrote a heartfelt note in the caption. She wrote, “Dear Archu, It’s been 12 years since we’ve been together. It’s been a very emotional journey with lots of ups and downs in both of our lives but we are stronger than ever… What I have learned is to have patience and always believe in giving love, no matter what life shows.”
She continued, “I remember the day I met you for the first time. You were nervous but also full of confidence.. and must say you look alike. A lot of things have changed from that day till now. But my love for Archu is still there. It is because I have a truly sacred relationship with him and with all of you who have loved Archana Deshmukh. To all to love Archu and Ankita unconditionally Thank you.. Hope me and Archu never let anyone down. Always grateful. Let me down. You are a blessing.”
Talking about how he prepared for the role, Shaheer had said: “Manav, I think this is one of the purest and honest characters ever. It inspired you to be this good person. And it assures you that there are such people in today’s generation too.”
Talking about the show, Ankita said, “What our fans saw between ‘Manav’ and ‘Archana’ was love, and love is magical. Maybe that’s why the chemistry between the two characters looked so magical. When. Me and Sushant started working for it. Show, everything was made in a very organic way, you can’t force the magic that the audience saw between me and Sushant. It was love, it was pure love.”
“When I went back to the sets to shoot for the new season of the show, a thousand things were running through my mind. I am living with ‘Pavitra Rishta’ and all its memories for the past 12 years. This time, when I Was back on the sets, knowing that Sushant is not with me, it is difficult to describe how I felt. I doubt if anyone will understand what my state of mind is… and I will never be able to explain it in words After this Ankita started crying bitterly.
