Chaudhry, who was the information minister in the Imran Khan government, was once Musharraf’s media spokesperson.
He said he spoke to Musharraf’s son who confirmed his illness.
“I just talked General MusharrafHis son Bilal in Dubai confirmed that he (Musharraf) is on ventilator,” Chowdhury said.
Responding to the reports, All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Overseas President Ifzal Siddiqui – founded by Musharraf Said that the former President is a little ill but is fully alert.
Siddiqui said, “General Pervez Musharraf is (slightly) ill at home but fully alert as always, please don’t listen to fake news. Just pray for his good health, Amin.”
Musharraf has been declared a fugitive in the murder of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and the murder of Lal Masjid cleric.
The former president, who has been living in Dubai since 2016, was facing treason charges for suspending the Constitution in 2007.
The former military ruler left for Dubai in March 2016 for medical treatment and has not returned since.
