A pet German Shepherd is seen attacking a Zomato delivery executive in a viral video posted on social media. As soon as the executive came out of the lift, the dog bitten his private part.
According to media reports, the incident took place on August 29 at Indiabulls Greens Marigold CHS in Panvel. Delivery executive Narendra Periyar is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Navi Mumbai.
The CCTV footage of the lift was combined with the video of the man bleeding to make the viral video. In the clip, the Zomato delivery executive can be seen exiting the lift but is shocked to see a large dog trying to enter the lift. As the owner pulls the dog away from the lift, the Zomato man backs away. He exits the lift, assuming he is safe, but the dog returns and attacks him, biting his private part. While doing this, even though its owner (who is not in the frame) is seen pulling him back. Later, the delivery executive is seen bleeding and moaning in pain.

According to a report in Mid Day, Periyar further said that before he could understand what was happening, he was bitten by the dog and learned that he was injured and bleeding. He said that despite first aid at Kamothe Hospital, he went to a private hospital on Monday when the pain did not subside. The dog’s owner is reportedly responsible for the associated medical costs.
Apartment residents and activists in Mumbai are quoted as saying in the Mid Day report that when dog owners learn that their dogs may be aggressive, it is their responsibility to give them muzzles and collars.
Earlier this month, a boy was bitten inside an elevator by a pet dog in Ghaziabad, while the dog’s owner, a woman, was seen ignoring the boy and standing idle.
