PharmEasy parent names independent directors

API Holdings Limited, the parent firm of digital healthcare brand PharmEasy, has announced the appointment of five independent directors to strengthen its board structure.

These directors include Vinita Rai, IAS (Retd), former Revenue Secretary of India; Subramaniam Somasundaram, former CFO of Titan Company; Ramakant Sharma, Founder and COO, Livspace; Dr Jaideep Tank, Gynecologist, and Deepak Vaidya, who have decades of experience in the fields of pharmaceuticals, microfinance, healthcare and private equity. Siddharth Shah, Co-Founder and CEO, API Holdings said, “Diversity [of the board] It will help us bring a paradigm shift with rapid digitization of healthcare and board will enable the supply chain for doctor consultations, diagnostic labs and supply of medicines.” The company said it will hire over 200 engineers for development centers to be opened soon in Hyderabad, Pune and the NCR.

“The new facilities will serve as an important hub to drive growth and innovation. Ahead of the opening of the new centres, PharmEasy will provide opportunities for curious technology professionals in product and engineering in various locations across the country, with a flexible work model,” Abhinav Yajurvedi, CTO, PharmEasy, said in a statement.
