New Delhi: Plumeria Gardens, an 18-acre lush green multi-storey and multi-tower residential society in Sector Omicron 3 Greater Noida, having only 704 flats, is one of the few societies in NCR where residents have a say despite not being supported by the builder. There are many good things to do. And left the society midway without proper delivery and ignored by GNIDA and left the society to its fate.
Residents and Elected Apartment Owners Association (AOA) where the member is a Banker, CA, Procurement, Marketing and Governance Specialist, has positioned itself by using their skills of their respective professional lives to improve the standards of society and in today’s society. A great example is shown. Not only has he become “Atmanirbhar” but has inspired many other societies.
The AOA of the society has formed several committees with the help of volunteers to look into the many issues of the society like maids. Car cleaning, gardening, cultural, covid care etc. for more participation and new ideas.
During the times of COVID, AOA organized COVID testing and immunization programme, where employees performing tasks like housekeeping, security etc. were vaccinated free of cost. Simultaneously, the volunteers of the Kovid team conducted several online sessions where the Kovid affected people were advised and motivated to deal with the situation. It was a widely commended effort by the AOA and the residents.
AOA secretary Pankaj Kaushik said that one of the best aspects of the society is the emphasis on health and cleanliness of the residents. The society’s gym is well equipped. In addition, AOA has also created a fitness field called “Parcourse” with Infinity Walk. Parcours is where body weight is used to exercise and it is made from scrap material in any residential building and one of its kind in India.
A dedicated area activity area has been created for the children where they can play games. AOA has also created a multi-fitness room exclusively for women.
The seating area within the green zone of the society is majorly used by seniors and women.
How can we forget our lovely kids when we have so many facilities for all age groups? Mr. Pankaj Kaushik said, A separate children’s room has also been made by the AOA.
Mr. Pankaj Kaushik told us that soon they are going to set-up an in-house with an online portal to provide medical assistance to the residents.
There is also an in-house welding zone at the Plumeria Gardens. There is a trained welder who looks after any welding requirement. Wherever there is a problem of error, immediate action is taken. In fact, metal benches, tables and many other things are made by the employees of the society.
The AOA of the society also has the reputation of being ready to solve the issues of the society. The AOA has put up RFID stickers on all the vehicles owned by the residents of the society. Now, no one needs to operate the boom barrier manually when they enter the vehicle.
The Society’s AOA has installed more CCTVs to enhance CCTV surveillance, so as to cover key areas like basement and main entry road. Even the police often approach him for the CCTV footage.
AOA and residents had a major concern over garbage disposal and being an 18-acre campus, disposal of horticulture waste was also a major challenge. Recently, AOA has installed leaves shredder and compost making machine in Plumeria Garden. Now we can proudly say that we do not waste anything. Pankaj said, “All the manure is not only used to nourish the large horticulture area but also helps the residents to grow saplings in their respective flats.”
AOA President Shri Ashim Sinha said that AOA also organized several interaction programs with the concerned Police Departments to make the residents aware of the security situation of the society.
