“PM Modi assured all possible help”: Assam CM on flood situation

CM Sarma said that PM Modi expressed concern over the difficulties of the people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday called up Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to inquire about the current flood situation in the state and assured all possible help from the Centre.

PM Modi expressed concern over the difficulties being faced by the people affected by the floods.

“Today at 6 am, Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji called me to inquire about the #Flood situation in #Assam. Expressing his concern over the hardships being faced by the people due to this natural calamity, Hon’ble PM Assured of all possible help from the central government. Humbled by their assured generosity,” Chief Minister Sarma tweeted.

Assam is badly affected by floods, this year in 28 districts of the state 18.95 lakh people have been affected and 55 people have died due to floods and landslides.
