The state BJP said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address a rally in Goa on Sunday. Modi will simultaneously address party workers and others in 20 assembly constituencies of North Goa district through video link at 4.30 pm, a BJP release said.
The Election Commission has currently banned large physical rallies but allowed small public gatherings in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The rally will be telecast on LED screens in each of the 20 assembly constituencies. Around 500 people will attend the rally besides BJP leaders at each place, the release said.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, party’s election in-charge Devendra Fadnavis, Goa desk in-charge CT Ravi and state BJP chief Sadanand Shet Tavanade will be present in Sawant’s parliamentary constituency Sankhalim. The arrangements have been made keeping in mind the guidelines of the Election Commission and the COVID-19 norms, the release said.
