PM Modi to hold mega election rally in Meghalaya and Nagaland today, road show in Shillong

BJP has fielded candidates for the first time on all 60 assembly seats in Meghalaya.

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Nagaland today to party a joint election rally of NDPP-BJP alliance at Agri Expo Ground in Chumoukedima district. A BJP source said the stage has been set to welcome Modi, where at least 20,000 people are expected to attend the rally. After the rally in Nagaland, PM Modi will head to Meghalaya, where he will hold a roadshow in Shillong and is scheduled to deliver a message at an election rally in Tura.

The BJP has fielded candidates for the first time in all 60 assembly constituencies of Meghalaya, which will go to polls on February 27 along with Nagaland. Security has been beefed up in Meghalaya and Nagaland for PM Modi’s visit. Confusion starting from Nagaland, Manikarna and Arunachal Pradesh borders have been given tight security.
