PM Modi visits Agri Startup Conclave and Exhibition Pavilion; Inquire about modern farm equipment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the pavilion of the Agri Startup Conclave and Exhibition, in Delhi today. Around 300 startups are showcasing their innovations related to precision farming and modern age equipment in the exhibition. Startups explained the working mechanism and benefits of the equipment to PM Modi as he took stock of most of the stalls in the pavilion before the inauguration of PM Kisan Samman Sammelan and the launch of 600 PM Kisan Samridhi Kendras.

The tools and technologies showcased by these 300 startups include innovations related to precision farming, post-harvest and value added solutions, allied agriculture, waste to wealth, mechanization for small farmers, supply chain management, argi-logistics. The exhibition will facilitate startups to interact with farmers, FPOs, agri-experts, corporates, etc. Startups will also share their experiences and interact with other stakeholders in technical sessions.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the two-day event “PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022” at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi today. The event brings together more than 13,500 farmers and around 1500 agriculture startups from across the country. In fact, over 1 crore farmers from various institutions are expected to participate in the program in two days.

PM Modi also inaugurated 600 Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendras (PMKSKs) under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers today. Under the scheme, fertilizer retail outlets in the country will be converted into PMKSKs in a phased manner. PMKSK will cater to the diverse needs of farmers and provide agricultural inputs (fertilizers, seeds, equipment); testing facilities for soil, seed, fertilizer; Creating awareness among farmers; To provide information about various government schemes and ensure regular capacity building of retailers at block/district level outlets. There are plans to convert over 3.3 lakh retail fertilizer shops into PMKSKs.
