New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the ‘Rojgar Mela’, a recruitment drive for 10 lakh personnel, through video conferencing today.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said appointment letters would be handed over to 75,000 newly appointed appointees during the ceremony.
The Prime Minister will also address these appointments on the occasion.
This will be a significant step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s continued commitment to provide employment opportunities for youth and ensure welfare of citizens, the PMO statement said.
“As per the directions of the Prime Minister, all the Ministries and Departments are working towards filling up the existing vacancies against the sanctioned posts in mission mode,” the statement said. The new recruits from across the country will join 38 Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.
“The appointments will involve government at various levels such as Group – A, Group – B (Gazetted), Group – B (Non-Gazetted) and Group – C. The posts to which the appointments are being made include Central Armed Forces Personnel, Dy. Inspector, Constable, LDC, Steno, PA, Income Tax Inspector, MTS, Others,” the PMO statement said.
These recruitments are being done in mission mode by Ministries and Departments either on their own or through recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC and Railway Recruitment Boards.
